Margaret Thatcher : Rhetorical Analysis 2 "A great man"
Margaret Thatcher used this eulogy to show how great a man Ronald Reagan was. In lines 30-35 the use of the words "Others' and "He" shows a separation between him and the world. By repeating these words shows how they contradict each other which in turn emphasizes what he did, showing that Reagan was a man of his own and no one was going to stand in his way of getting things done. Margret wanted to show how different Reagan was from everyone else because a lot of the time things gets lost in the news and social media. By doing so she showed how Reagan was a man for taking the initiative and making things better and to accomplish what needed to be done. Furthermore proving how great a man Ronald Reagan was and what he did for his country without thinking of what he got out of it.
