Analyzing Synthesis

With the given sample Essays to show different levels of giving they each received a different level depending on what they wrote. On sample A, The essay effectively evaluated whether college "is worth the cost". All the argument were there. The author of this essay gave evidence and explanations that were used appropriately but most of all what they did was they went further. A 6 is a simple okay I did my task I'm done but with her essay, she definitely went beyond what the prompt asked of her and in doing so I gave her an 8 for her level of skill and effectiveness. 

With sample B the essay adequately evaluates whether college is worth its cost.  The essay moves with facility into appropriate sources. But overall the evidence and explanations are appropriate and sufficient and the prose is clear. Though I felt the person could have done so much more with the end of the essay they left it with and inconsistency leaving me hanging. So with all of that in mind, i give this essay a 6. 

With sample C the essay is inadequate in evaluating whether college is worth its cost. It starts by stating the position that college is worth the cost but overall the essay is insufficient and unconvincing. There was a ton of grammar issues that developed all over the essay. never flowed, and was lost. All of these essays give us a sense of what is expected and how it needs to be done and they also show us what we shouldn't do ever!
